Parks

You can view the list of defunct parks in Northeastern Pennsylvania alphabetically or by county.

NEPA Lost Parks covers the following 11 counties in northeastern Pennsylvania:

For the purposes of this website, an amusement park is defined as having a permanent installation or regular seasonal return of mechanical devices (such as a carousel, roller coaster, and/or other rides) and/or permanent recreation facilities (like a swimming pool, dance hall, and/or arcade). These distinctions help separate an “amusement park” from the many picnic groves and public parks across the region that also provided enjoyment to countless visitors over the past 100+ years.
